  • The President of the Provincial Council recalled that the institution and the Council are working on the remodelling of the grass of the football field and the path of l’Assegador

The President of the Diputación de Alicante, Carlos Mazón, has officially visited the Castalla Town Hall for the first time. He was accompanied by the Vice President and Deputy for Infrastructure and Assistance to Municipalities, Javier Gutiérrez, and the Deputy for the Presidency, Economy and Internal Affairs, Eduardo Dolón.

Mazón stressed that the visit to Castalla was at the highest level because he was accompanied by Eduardo Dolón and Javier Gutiérrez, the Presidency and Infrastructure MEPs, respectively. Mazón stressed that they are currently working together on the remodelling of the artificial turf pitch or the Camino de l’Assegador, which links the town with Ibi.

For his part, the mayor of Castalla, Antonio Bernabeu, has conveyed to the president the needs of the people “which are many, with very important projects”. Bernabeu explained that the Provincial Council is listening to them and now “a second phase of work is coming, so that it gives time to conclude the great projects that we have”.

Mazón and Bernabeu have described as “fundamental” for the legislature the construction in Castalla of the new multipurpose building, in front of the Casa de Cultura. A project that, according to Mazón, “fits perfectly within the lines that Gutiérrez is opening from the infrastructure department”. At this point the President of the Provincial Council referred to the Infrastructure Investment Plan in the Regions of Alicante (Planifica), “the new instrument of greater and better investment, which will replace the old work plans”.

Likewise, Mazón has assured that “it will be easy to fit investments in Castalla because it is a municipality and a government team that works with projects on the table”. In reference to some of the projects underway, he said that “we are working on the Greenway, which could become a stimulus to attract tourists to the area”.

The president of the provincial institution, who greeted the government team upon his arrival in the municipality, immediately went to sign the Town Hall’s book of honour. Finally, he took advantage of his farewell to Castalla to ensure that it was “the first official visit of many. There will be inaugurations, investments, work and a future for the municipality”.
