Castalla elects a director for the San Isidro Fair with the aim of improving and enhancing the event
The activity will take place on May 13, 14 and 15 and is intended to revitalize tourism after several years of hiatus due to Covid-19
The Castalla City Council has appointed the new Production Manager of the San Isidro Fair. The selected person has been Javier Montava, manager of the company GoOnFair, which specializes in the events organization sector. With this appointment, the fair presents a key piece for the future of the project, since the objective is to improve the development and to promote it.
According to Montava, “we seek to plan the development of the event, generate the strategy to make it a benchmark at regional and provincial level, as well as enhance the growth of the fair in all areas”. The activity, which will take place in May, is also intended to be a revival for tourism after several years of standstill due to the Covid-19 pandemic. According to the Director, “there are three basic services in the organization of any Fair, parking, bathrooms and food -lunch, lunch, snacks and dinner-. For this XXVIII edition we will have three parking lots, we are also going to set up an enclosed and totally personalized press area and relocate the distribution of the operators”.
Specifically, the position of director involves the following functions: structuring and organizing the fair; contacting potential exhibitors and managing their location; preparing meetings with local companies; receiving exhibitors in the days prior to the event; and setting up all the necessary elements for the development of the fair. These functions will be carried out between the months of March, April and May 2022.
Also, the mayor of Castalla, Antonio Bernabeu, stressed that “this appointment is strategically important for our San Isidro Fair and will allow us to grow both in quantity and quality of products and services we offer. In this sense, added the first mayor, “the intention of the entire government team is to make an event with the participation of companies, organizations and the people of Castalla, as well as exhibitors from around the area, so that in our streets you can find the best products and services during this special weekend”.
For his part, Javier Montava, has insisted that “the Feria de San Isidro should be a focus of attraction and loyalty of visitors, well positioned in the calendar and generate the greatest economic impact with the least possible investment of resources”. In this sense, Montava stressed that “this year visitors will have a manual of the route of the Fair, available at the two information points that we will enable at the main entrances, so they can visit all the stalls and exhibitors in an orderly manner.”
This year, the Fair of San Isidro de Castalla will be held on 13, 14 and 15 May in the capital of the Foia. In this sense, in addition to the offer of the event itself, the municipality will make available to all visitors the tourist complements it has, as well as cultural and leisure.
On the other hand, from the City Council has been recalled that is open the deadline for tendering services for the organization, assembly and management of the XXVIII edition of the Feria de San Isidro. The Consistory, which has repealed for this year the ordinance of payment of fees for stalls or exhibitors for occupation of public roads, has encouraged bidders to participate in the fair.
