Castalla Social Services organizes an empowerment workshop for women for six months

The Social Services area of ​​the City of Castalla has organized an empowerment workshop for women entitled ‘Know your skills, increase your self-esteem and empower yourself’. This workshop, which will begin on February 13, aims to “strengthen the self-esteem, confidence and choices of women’s own lives,” said the councilor of the area, Maite Gimeno, who explained that “we also want promote greater social participation and promote equality between men and women”.

The workshop will be held in the Auditorium, with two biweekly sessions on Thursdays from 10 am to 12 noon, with a duration of six months until July, and those interested can register for Municipal Social Services of Castalla until February 7. Gimeno, who has been accompanied at a press conference by the Social Services Psychologist, Marina González, has assured that with this workshop “a space for reflection, relationships, support and company in personal processes is built”.

The workshop aims to promote awareness and personal development of women, promote the establishment of relationships and support networks, as well as prevent isolation, violence and loss of health.

Regarding the development of the workshop, two small groups will be working, between 12 and 15 people, and sessions planned to enhance the mental and social change of the women of the population of Castalla.

Gimeno has encouraged all women in the municipality to participate in this type of workshops “because with it we provide the users with the necessary tools to prevent and confront any violent situation, as well as improve the family and emotional environment.”
