Castalla launches Justiprop, a new local legal advice service

Castalla Town Council has launched Justiprop, a new local legal advice service for the local population. The Department of Social Services is the area responsible for managing the service, which will give citizens access to information and advice to residents of the municipality. This tool is provided with the supervision and funding of the Regional Ministry of Justice, Interior and Public Administration, as well as with the collaboration of the Valencian Council of Bar Associations. In the case of Castalla, the Ilustre Colegio de la Abogacía de Alcoy is in charge of providing the service in the Consistory, through its legal professionals.

The councillor for Social Services, Maite Gimeno, has positively valued the implementation of this new service because “thanks to Justiprop, the residents of Castalla will have a tool at their disposal that will help them to access all kinds of legal procedures, the processes of which we are often unaware, with a service of information, support and advice.

Specifically, the Justiprop proximity legal guidance service consists of providing information on the services provided by the administration of the Generalitat Valenciana and other administrations and public bodies in the areas of justice, mediation, assistance to victims of crime and protection of rights. Secondly, the staff of this service provides legal advice and guidance prior to the process. Finally, it also provides support for electronic queries on judicial or administrative procedures in the field of justice.

In the case of Castalla, the Social Services area will be in charge of managing Justiprop. The service will be operational from Thursday 17 November. The service will be available to the public every Thursday afternoon, from 16:00 to 20:00 hours. To access Justiprop, it is advisable to make an appointment in person, at the reception of the Social Services offices, or by calling 965 56 10 00.

In this way, the people of Castalla have at their disposal a free legal orientation through the new municipal service Justiprop.
