Castalla participates for the first time in INTUR, the International Fair of Inland Tourism in Valladolid

• The Department of Tourism will be present on 18, 19 and 20 November to showcase the cultural, historical, gastronomic and natural heritage of the capital of La Foia

Castalla Town Council will participate for the first time in INTUR, the International Fair of Inland Tourism, which is one of the most important in Spain in this field. The Department of Tourism will be present in the city of Valladolid on the 18th, 19th and 20th of November in collaboration with the stand of Tourism of the Comunitat Valenciana. All this with the aim of promoting the cultural, historical, gastronomic and natural heritage of the capital of the Foia de Castalla in the 25th edition of the event.

For her part, the councillor for Tourism, Maite Gimeno, stressed the importance of participating in this type of event to promote the strengths of the city. “Being part of INTUR allows us to make known all the potential that Castalla has as one of the most important inland tourist destinations in our area,” said the councillor, who stressed that “in Castalla we have an extensive calendar of festivals throughout the year, which adds to our natural and scenic attraction, history, gastronomy and culture. Thus, Gimeno concluded, “all this makes us an ideal destination for families, groups of friends and travellers”.

The event is divided into two distinct parts. Firstly, the INTUR Business day held on Thursday 17th, aimed exclusively at professionals in the sector with content dedicated to exhibitors and workers. Secondly, from Friday 18 to Sunday 20 November, with INTUR Travellers, which will have its doors open to interested people who come to the Valladolid Trade Fair.

In addition to INTUR, the Castalla Tourism Department promotes the town’s participation in other tourism events together with the Costa Blanca Tourist Board and Turisme Comunitat Valenciana, which help to increase the town’s potential, reach more travellers and improve the economy of the town’s premises and establishments. These events include FITUR in Madrid, B-Travel in Barcelona and SEVATUR in San Sebastian.
