Castalla receives 493,764.59 euros in aid from IVACE to improve the three industrial estates
- The City Council has obtained the subsidies to invest in the modernisation and provision of infrastructures in the PI Bastá, UA II and El Riu
Castalla Town Council has received 493,764.59 euros in grants from the Valencian Institute for Business Competitiveness (IVACE) to undertake improvement work in the town’s industrial estates (IPs). The aim of these three grants is to invest in the improvement, modernisation and provision of infrastructure in Castalla’s three industrial parks: PI Bastá, UA II and El Riu.
In total, 493,764.59 euros of investment in these three industrial areas of Castalla, which include the costs of execution of works and facilities, as well as the cost of drafting the various projects. In addition, the investment amounts to 596,633.80 euros if we take into account the amount to be justified in the works. The difference between the two amounts is the amount to be contributed by the City Council, which totals 102,869.21 euros.
All this is part of the programme for the improvement of infrastructures in business parks, industrial areas and technological enclaves of the Generalitat Valenciana, charged to the budget for the financial year 2023.
Specifically, the IVACE aid for the improvement of infrastructures and services is distributed as follows: on the one hand, the PI Bastá is the recipient of 165,359.56 euros. These actions will consist of improving the fibre optic connections of the infrastructure; improving security and traffic control in the area; the construction of a bicycle lane with bicycle parking points; improving street lighting with the installation of LED bulbs; expanding the network of fire hydrants; environmental and landscape regeneration with the installation of green areas; improving road access to the industrial estate, as well as the signage and identification of streets and industrial buildings and, finally, improving the municipal sewerage network.
On the other hand, the PI El Riu will receive 164,750.29 euros. This investment will go towards environmental and landscape regeneration with the improvement of existing green areas; creation and improvement of electric vehicle recharging points; acquisition of adjoining land; improvement of street lighting; and horizontal and vertical road signposting.
Thirdly, the PI UA II will receive 163,654.74 euros to improve its facilities. The following works will be undertaken in this line of action: environmental and landscape regeneration with the improvement of existing green areas; creation and improvement of electric vehicle charging points; implementation of the Multi-purpose Centre in the industrial estate, which will have spaces for meetings, training and office services; improvement of public lighting; and horizontal and vertical road signage.
